Given the time,
the right circumstances
and the right amount of insanity,
any man can love any woman,
and any woman can fall for any man.
So to love was never unique.
It was always an illusion of something
that should be.

I think I’ve come to the mind that prearranged marriages are a very worthy consideration. None of the hype regarding the oohs and aahs of relationship; and the betrothed start out strangers with the task of getting to know one another, and without the “benefit” of divorce.
A one-and-done approach — if made law — would go well in shoring up a lot of leaks in the marriage dam — or the damn marriage.
In “Fiddler on the Roof,” Tevye and Golde share a duet entitled “Do You Love Me?” In a wonderful songful diatribe, the husband and wife run through all each does for the other. You understand theirs was an arranged marriage, a tradition which Tevye would like to extend to his daughters.
“Do you love me?”
” . . . I guess I do.”
So, your contention suggests there’s NOT that one and only — which reflects the “other fish in the sea” sentiment when a relationship cracks.
And, I agree with you. Our opinions on the subject, plus about $14, will get us a cup of coffee at Starbucks anytime, anywhere.
Aaahhh you may be on to something. Or perhaps, it really doesn’t matter: relationships, love, cracks or the lack of one, two or all.
Something’s gotta matter.
R u sure?
Of that, I am.
The question becomes, what matters?
I guess that is where our paths shall diverge…
A poetic duel, then.
Yours and mine on what matters.
Or what doesn’t?
Exactly. Winner buys the beers.
LOL… Or not…
So, you game? One week to write. We coordinate posts.
As long as no one buys any beers I am game…
Sounds fair to me.
Just out of curiosity . . . why not?
Simply, because I don’t drink.
Complexly, because when it comes to debates about what to think and what to believe, no one is right or perhaps everyone is; therefore, the thought of winners and losers is thrown out of the window. ๐
But thanks for (what I hope was) a well meant offer. ๐
So next Saturday, we post? Is that cool with you?
Yes. So, do you like cheese cake, then?
The answer to that question comes under “complexly” ๐
Do you mean today, or April 5?
April 5 ๐
Just checking. Thanks.
Came and went and I forgot to upload my poem. I awoke in the night with that realization. I had written the poem early last week. My great apologies. I have corrected that this morning, and Meaninglessness is now posted.
No worries, I’ll go check it out now. ๐
perhaps it’s just nature way of tricking us to procreate and further the human race. This whole life is an illusion… Or as someone once said, ;love is an insanity cured by marriage.’
LOL, perhaps it is… Sometimes it is cured, at others it may even become more diseased than before…
Thank you so much for stopping by!
yeah ๐ Hope you catch the little Dutch boy…
Very interesting debate here, and some good poetry! Here are my thoughts on it: http://cosmicheroism.wordpress.com/2014/03/27/what-does-it-matter/
Thank you for visiting, I’ll go check it out! ๐
